Travel behind our narrow-gauge steam engine Big Dave!

We will have our shop open at Lathalmond Halt with models, books, DVDs & souvenirs for sale. Vist Dunfermline's Railway Story too! We will be running diesel-hauled brake van rides on our standard gauge line throughout the day. Come and see what new projects we are working on, and ride on our narrow gauge railway. We're running trains running half-hourly and your day ticket will let you jump on board as many times as you wish! Lathalmond Wartime model railway and weighbridge can be visited upon request in advance.
The SVBM is also open every Sunday.

DIESEL DAYS

FHVC - FESTIVAL OF TRANSPORT

Fife Historic Vehicle Club's Festival of Transport returns again and it promises to be a busy one!
We'll be adding to the event by running trains on our railways throughout the day with Steam on our narrow gauge railway line. Don't forget our station shop, models & books for sale, and more in Lathalmond Halt, and pop in to see Dunfermline's Railway Story, so please feel free to pop in.
Free vintage bus service from Dunfermline bus station, hourly from 1100

2026 DIESEL GALA at LATHALMOND!

Its back for 2026!
Expect at lest 5 diesel locos to be out & about on our standard gauge lines, and the same number on our narrow gauge lines too! Showcasing our industrial diesel collection in an industrial setting.
Visit our exhibition, Dunfermline's Railway Story, which covers over 200 years of local waggonway & railway history.
